1. Scope

These Terms govern your use of CookPagoda and Cooking Ingredient Quest, operated by 별내림. The Services may include food, ingredient and theme discovery, recipes and related content, AI-powered recommendations and conversations, bookmarks and account features, and community features such as posts and comments.

Mandatory consumer, privacy, or other protections in your country of residence apply where they cannot lawfully be waived by these Terms.

3. Accounts, eligibility and security

You must provide accurate information, keep it reasonably current, and protect your credentials. You may not impersonate another person, take over another account, or bypass authentication or access controls.

The Services are generally intended for users aged 16 or older. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age, parental authorization, or another condition, you must satisfy that requirement. We may take appropriate action if we learn that personal data of a user below the applicable minimum age has been processed without a valid legal basis.

Account registration and sign-in are temporarily unavailable to users accessing the Services from the EEA or the United Kingdom until the required privacy-representative and related operational arrangements are in place. Public content remains available. You must not circumvent regional, authentication, or access controls to use restricted account features.

4. AI recommendations and food safety

AI responses may be generated automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. We do not guarantee ingredients, cooking times or temperatures, nutrition information, food characteristics, or outcomes. Always check reliable sources such as product labels, manufacturer instructions, and recognized food-safety guidance.

AI features are not medical care, dietitian services, allergy diagnosis, or other professional health advice. Do not rely on an AI response alone for decisions involving severe allergies, medical conditions, pregnancy, medication, or other health restrictions.

Do not submit sensitive health information that is not necessary to use the feature. See the Privacy Policy and AI Notice for data-processing details.

5. User content

You or the relevant rights holder generally retain rights in posts, comments, reviews, and other content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license only as reasonably necessary to host, display, transmit, back up, search, moderate, and operate that content as part of the Services.

When an account is deleted, the direct account link to public posts and comments may be removed while the public content may remain to preserve discussions and legitimate use by others. Delete content before closing your account when possible. If content itself contains personal data, you may also use applicable privacy-rights channels.

6. Prohibited conduct

• Illegal, infringing, fraudulent, abusive, hateful, exploitative, child-safety violating, spam, or improperly disclosed personal content.
• Circumventing or attacking security, authentication, regional availability restrictions, rate limits, access controls, APIs, or infrastructure.
• Automated traffic or behavior that materially interferes with normal operation of the Services.
• Unauthorized bulk extraction, resale, database reconstruction, or AI/ML uses restricted by the Content & Data Use Policy.

7. Community moderation

We may restrict visibility, remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to enforce law, these Terms, or the Community Guidelines. Where appropriate, we will provide the principal reason and available appeal route. Reports may be submitted through in-product reporting tools or the operator contact channel.

8. Changes and availability

We may change or temporarily suspend features for security, reliability, product improvement, third-party service changes, or legal compliance. We will give reasonable advance notice of planned changes that materially affect users when practicable.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, and absent our willful misconduct or gross negligence, liability may be limited for losses caused by your device or network, third-party services, information you provide, or external failures that could not reasonably be prevented. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory consumer or privacy rights.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as laws or the Services change. We will provide reasonable notice before material changes take effect and obtain fresh consent where legally required. The applicable version and effective date are displayed with the document.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are generally governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or jurisdiction rights available in their country of habitual residence. We encourage good-faith resolution first; unresolved disputes are handled by the competent authority or court determined under applicable law.
